Why this chapter exists

A credible, ethical, independent platform for cybersecurity in Portugal

Portugal has cybersecurity talent, but no truly national professional community of ISC2-certified practitioners. The ecosystem is fragmented and SMEs are underserved. We are building the ISC2 Portugal Chapter as a credible, ethical, independent platform, anchored in Northern Portugal with national reach. A community-first, governance-disciplined chapter affiliated with the global ISC2 body. Our commitment is to expand the cybersecurity community across the whole country, complementing the work that already exists.

Year-1 focus

Three areas where we can make an honest contribution from day one

Governance, Risk & Compliance

Practitioners working on NIS2, DORA, and GDPR need a peer community for confidential discussion and shared learning.

Leadership & senior peer support

For CISOs, CIOs, and senior practitioners. Foundation for a Cybersecurity Leadership Council in Phase 2.

SME cybersecurity enablement

Portuguese SMEs lack expertise. We make practical, vendor-independent resources accessible.
